Cooperation with Dr. Henning Albrecht strengthens local orthopedic expertise
The expansion of stable medical care structures is becoming increasingly important, especially in rural areas. This makes it all the more important to have reliable models that preserve existing expertise while creating space for new developments. One such model for the future is the close cooperation between Dr. Henning Albrecht's orthopedic practice in Iserlohn and the Medical Care Center of Sportklinik Hellersen GmbH (MVZ Hellersen for short). The aim of the partnership is to strengthen outpatient orthopedic care in the region in a targeted manner and to secure it in the long term. The practice at Wallstraße 31 will remain fully operational – with the familiar team, the usual premises, and the established range of orthopedic treatments.
“My main concern was to create security early on—for myself, my patients, my team, and the future of the practice,” explains Dr. Henning Albrecht. “At some point, the time will come when I will retire completely from everyday practice. That's why it was important to me to hand over the practice to reliable hands.”
For Dr. Henning Albrecht, the focus was not on a change, but on a sustainable partnership. Reliability and a shared medical approach were the deciding factors. “The MVZ Hellersen not only impresses me professionally—I myself worked at the Sportklinik Hellersen as a resident and later as a specialist. This personal connection and the trust that has grown over time were decisive factors in my decision.”
Proven priorities remain unchanged
Dr. Henning Albrecht will continue to run his practice in its proven form—in future, in close cooperation with the medical care center of Sportklinik Hellersen GmbH. The aim of the collaboration is to secure and further develop local outpatient orthopedic care. The practice has stood for high professional quality for many years and enjoys a high level of trust beyond Iserlohn. Its medical focus includes conservative and surgical treatment of shoulder and knee joints, outpatient arthroscopy, shock wave therapy, chiropractic therapy, and comprehensive sports medicine care.
A strong network for reliable supply

With the addition of Dr. Henning Albrecht's practice, the MVZ Hellersen medical center now comprises a total of seven specialist practices with 13 doctors at its locations in Lüdenscheid and Iserlohn. The network includes the neurosurgery practice and the orthopedics and trauma surgery practice on Paulmannshöher Straße in Lüdenscheid, the orthopedic practice on Knapper Straße, the trauma surgery practice on Wilhelmstraße, and the anesthesiology practice on Rathausplatz. The new cooperation with Dr. Henning Albrecht's practice will specifically expand the range of medical services in Iserlohn – an important step toward strengthening local care. Until now, the MVZ Hellersen in Iserlohn was already represented by Vasileios Kommatas' orthopedics and trauma surgery practice on Nordengraben.
