The Hellersen Sports Clinic is one of Germany's leading specialist clinics for orthopedics, trauma surgery and sports medicine. Medical competencies include the treatment of orthopedic injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system, the implantation of artificial joints (endoprostheses), and sports medicine. The spine center consisting of interdisciplinary teams of conservative orthopedics, neurosurgery and special spine surgery perfectly round off the clinic spectrum in interaction with special pain medicine and plastic and aesthetic surgery.
Whether team physicians or the performance-related care of soccer and Bundesliga referees - our physicians are at home in sports. Founded in 1946, this sports expertise goes hand in hand with decades of experience and in-depth specialization. We always stay on the ball when it comes to further development and use state-of-the-art therapy methods. Non-athletes also benefit from this know-how, because we pay as much attention to them as we do to our amateur and top athletes.
Every year, our team of highly specialized physicians treats around 8,000 inpatients and 40,000 outpatients - including around 500 cruciate ligament and 1,000 shoulder operations and 800 foot surgery procedures. About 2,000 patients with back pain and 1,400 pain patients come to us. The endoprosthetics department performs 850 knee and hip joint operations each year.
Our primary goal is to restore, maintain and promote the health of our patients. We can only achieve this by working hand in hand. Under the guiding principle “Together we care”, respect and appreciation characterize the daily cooperation in #Team Hellersen. The sense of community encourages each and every one of the more than 400 employees to help shape the clinic in a continuous improvement process and to develop personally. We face challenges together and shape today for tomorrow. Join us in shaping the future of #Team Hellersen.
The foundation for a good working relationship and cooperation is respect. We treat each other with respect and fairness, work together on a basis of trust and show our appreciation for each other. Each of us sets an example in our daily interactions and acts accordingly - based on the core values of our mission statement.
Our values make it clear: We rely on teamwork, dare new things and live diversity. In addition, we set ourselves the goal of taking responsibility for our patients and colleagues and always taking their concerns seriously. Mistakes are allowed and are not concealed, but addressed. Only in this way is improvement and constant progress possible.
Dare new things, take responsibility, make decisions in the here and now. Only those who continue to develop remain good at what they do. That's why we are courageous, look ahead purposefully and confidently, and dare to take on new challenges - albeit with the necessary respect. We are building our future together. To this end, we take responsibility and make decisions.
