Sportklinik Hellersen supports SOS Children's Villages with donation in kind

Specialist clinic donates balls and Frisbees

The Sportklinik Hellersen brought great joy to the children of the SOS Children's Village in Sauerland. A total of 29 soccer balls, 36 water balls, and 88 Frisbees were donated to the facility.

“When we received the donation request, we knew immediately that we wanted to do it,” says Stephan Franz, CEO of Sportklinik Hellersen. “It's wonderful to see how much fun exercise can be, especially for children. We are delighted to be able to contribute a little to this with our donation.”

The donation was received with great enthusiasm at the SOS Children's Village. “We currently care for around 75 children,” reports Guido Raith, who is responsible for public relations at the SOS Children's Village. “It's completely normal for balls to break after intensive use. So it's all the more wonderful when suddenly there are so many new toys. The children will be delighted.”

The fundraising campaign was triggered by a personal request from Peter Hosenfeld. He has been volunteering for SOS Children's Villages for many years and had the idea of asking the Hellersen Sports Clinic for play equipment.

The clinic spontaneously put together a selection of balls and Frisbees and ensured a smooth handover. The campaign shows how much can be achieved with little effort. A simple request is often enough to make children's eyes light up and do some good.
