Surgical Assistant (m/f/d)

The Hellersen Sports Clinic is one of Germany's leading specialist clinics for orthopaedics, trauma surgery and sports medicine. Almost 50,000 patients come to us every year to have their orthopaedic illnesses and injuries treated by our top physicians or for the implantation of an artificial joint. As a sports medical examination center of the State Sports Association (LSB) and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), the highly specialized team of doctors also advises athletes and examines them for their health and performance. The range of services is rounded off by plastic and aesthetic surgery as well as the regionally unique Center for Special Pain Medicine.

Your tasks

In keeping with our motto "We together - from person to person", you will work hand in hand with your colleagues to care for our patients. As a member of #TeamOP, you will look after our patients before, during and after surgical procedures.

  • You will be involved in your main task - instrumentation and assisting in the OR - and will be responsible for ensuring that the procedure runs smoothly and quickly thanks to your qualified and technically skilled surgical assistance, making you a reliable partner for the doctor in the OR.
  • You will also be responsible for operating and maintaining the necessary technical equipment.
  • Patient safety and compliance with hygiene regulations are your top priority.
  • Thanks to your open-minded nature and high level of flexibility, you are always open to further development and you also enjoy working as a stand-in.
  • You seek interdisciplinary contact in order to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation.
  • Professional documentation and binding standards are routine for you.

What you bring with you

With your motivating and hands-on nature, you are welcome to make a difference with us.

  • You have completed training as an OTA or healthcare and nursing assistant (m/f/d).
  • Further specialist training and initial experience in the OR, ideally in the field of orthopaedics, are desirable.
  • You have a talent for organization and, above all, a competent manner in stressful situations is easy for you.
