Medical Assistant (m/f/d) Outpatient Clinic

The Hellersen Sports Clinic is one of Germany's leading specialist clinics for orthopaedics, trauma surgery and sports medicine. Almost 50,000 patients come to us every year to have their orthopaedic illnesses and injuries treated by our top physicians or for the implantation of an artificial joint. As a sports medical examination center of the State Sports Association (LSB) and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), the highly specialized team of doctors also advises athletes and examines them for their health and performance. The range of services is rounded off by plastic and aesthetic surgery as well as the regionally unique Center for Special Pain Medicine.

Your tasks

  • Preparation and organization of the department's outpatient clinic, appointment coordination
  • Routine work such as dressings, infusion and injection preparation
  • Participation in anamnesis, diagnosis, preparation of prescriptions and documentation
  • Act as central contact person
  • If necessary, billing of private medical services
  • General correspondence
  • Preparation and follow-up of outpatient clinics
  • Assistance in the outpatient clinics

What you bring with you

  • Completed training as a medical assistant or as a health care and nursing professional
  • Pleasure in dealing with patients
  • An outgoing personality with a friendly and personable manner
  • Experience with modern communication tools such as MS-Office and ideally experience with hospital information systems (ORBIS) are desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Diplomatic assertiveness
  • High level of commitment, ability to work under pressure, team player and flexibility
  • Organizational talent and competent appearance even in stressful situations
  • Enjoyment of the diverse fields of activity as well as a high degree of personal initiative
