Deputy Head of Medical Controlling/Service Accounting (m/f/d)

The Hellersen Sports Clinic is one of Germany's leading specialist clinics for orthopaedics, trauma surgery and sports medicine. Almost 50,000 patients come to us every year to have their orthopaedic illnesses and injuries treated by our top physicians or for the implantation of an artificial joint. As a sports medical examination center of the State Sports Association (LSB) and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), the highly specialized team of doctors also advises athletes and examines them for their health and performance. The range of services is rounded off by plastic and aesthetic surgery as well as the regionally unique Center for Special Pain Medicine.

Your tasks

As a deputy, you will support the management in all tasks arising in the areas of medical controlling and service accounting. Responsibility for quality management is also part of this area. You will be a confidential contact person for the team in technical and organizational matters.

  • You will ensure timely and comprehensive documentation/coding and billing (DRG/KV/PKV).
  • You are the contact person for operational issues relating to ICD; OPS, DRG, outpatient and inpatient billing systems and work closely with the other departments.
  • You will also be involved in ensuring economic stability and liquidity.
  • You will be jointly responsible for monitoring and adapting processes within the department.
  • You will also provide support in the area of quality management in operational issues relating to certification.

What you bring with you

Are you a "doer type" and have a high degree of initiative and previous experience in employee management? Do you have an entrepreneurial mindset and strong implementation skills?   • You have several years of professional experience in a comparable field and have in-depth knowledge of the DRG system including ICD/OPS system and DKR as well as MD management and the billing of inpatient/outpatient hospital services to payers (private health insurance, statutory health insurance, self-payers, BG).
  • Experience in quality management and project management is desirable.
  • You have experience in dealing with hospital information systems (preferably ORBIS) and the usual MS Office programs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MD and cash audit procedures as well as current case law.
  • Confident appearance, structured, goal-oriented and efficient working style.
