Clinic magazine rethought: Medicine to live with

The Sportklinik Hellersen is expanding its patient communication with a digital clinic magazine.

The  Sportklinik Hellersen is setting new standards in clinic communication: the clinic magazine “Hellersen Insight” is now also available in digital form - lively, interactive and accessible at any time at www.hellersen-insight.de. The renowned specialist clinic for orthopaedics, trauma surgery, sports medicine and endoprosthetics is thus supplementing its printed edition with an innovative format that brings medical content and moving patient stories to life using multimedia.

"Our readers are not only immersed in exciting articles - they also experience authentic insights from everyday clinical practice, specialist interviews and patient stories in moving images and in-depth videos. The new format is intuitive, inspiring and offers real added value," says Sarah Burghaus, Head of Marketing & PR at Sportklinik Hellersen.

With the digital edition, Sportklinik Hellersen is also setting an example for greater sustainability: by dispensing with additional print and mailing runs, paper consumption and emissions are significantly reduced. The digital magazine is freely accessible, designed to be barrier-free and does not collect any personal data. The printed edition will continue to be available and complements the offering for all readers who prefer print.

Focus on medical development and international partnerships

The current issue of “Hellersen Insight” focuses on the key developments at Sportklinik Hellersen. Particular emphasis is placed on the strategic partnerships in the United Arab Emirates, which represent a significant step in the international orientation of the specialist clinic. In an interview, CEO Dirk Burghaus explains how networking with global partners contributes to the further development of medical standards: "Medicine knows no borders. International exchange is an important step for us in learning from each other, growing together and actively shaping the healthcare of tomorrow."

Another focus of the current issue is the new robotics center at the Sportklinik Hellersen. It is the first clinic in North Rhine-Westphalia to use the VELYS™ Robotic-Assisted Solution from Johnson & Johnson MedTech. The system enables exact planning and execution of knee joint implantation in real time - without CT scans or X-rays - and supports the surgeon in the precise placement of the implant.

Moving stories, told digitally

In addition to medical topics, “Hellersen Insight” also highlights patients and their stories. For example, former martial artist Jan Plomann tells how he was able to walk again after years of back pain and a long period in a wheelchair thanks to complex spinal surgery - thanks to the experts in special spinal surgery at the German Spine and Scoliosis Center at the Sportklinik Hellersen. In the digital edition, the interview with Jan Plomann can be seen in video format - an example of how personal experience and medical expertise can be made digitally tangible.

“With our magazine, we want to show what the Sportklinik Hellersen stands for: medical expertise, human proximity and the aspiration to break new, innovative ground,” emphasizes Sarah Burghaus and continues: “Whether printed or digital - we want to provide understandable information, give authentic insights and make our work comprehensible and tangible for our patients.”
