Sportklinik Hellersen receives national marketing award

1st place at the KU Health Management Award in the online marketing category.

An ideal fusion of online and offline media with a holistic and cross-channel brand understanding, close to life and the needs of users or patients - with these criteria, the Sportklinik Hellersen won the KU Award for successful marketing. The jury of marketing experts from the hospital, publishing house and agency sectors selected the Sportklinik Hellersen online strategy as the most successful and outstanding concept in the online marketing category. The award was presented at the KU Management Congress on Thursday (October 12, 2023) in Bamberg.

"Whether patients, interested parties or applicants - people today inform themselves online in the majority. And many also like to know in advance exactly what to expect. Especially in the healthcare sector, where a very sensitive commodity - health - is at stake, we simply have to offer this service. For this purpose, uniform, addressee-oriented communication and professional marketing are indispensable," says Sarah Burghaus, Head of Marketing and Communication at the Sportklinik Hellersen.

In 2022, the brand transformation process of the Sportklinik Hellersen was initiated. The result is a completely new brand architecture and a redesign of the clinic's appearance - groundbreaking, digital, scalable and close to the target group. The newly developed brand strategy, which sharpened the profile of the Sportklinik Hellersen and the medical portfolio and optimally coordinated them, gave each specialist area a distinctive appearance. At the same time, a strong, overarching and visual unity was created.

"Our clinic website and social media channels are an essential marketing tool to communicate our medical treatment focus and the expertise of the individual departments of our specialty clinic in a target group-oriented, clear and understandable way, as well as to offer patients the best service at the "moment of need"," explains Sarah Burghaus. "One of these services is our digital online appointment management, the chat function for patients and the new career portal."

In addition to the Sportklinik Hellersen, the Kreisklinikum Siegen with the relaunch of their website and compassio Lebensräume & Pflege B.V. & Co. KG with the brand consolidation and also their website relaunch were nominated.

"We are very pleased that our efforts were honored with 1st place. Professional and sustainable digitally oriented brand communication has never been as important as it is today. The constant further development of the clinic, a detailed consideration of the target groups and their needs, combined with top medical performance, are the foundation of our success," says Dirk Burghaus, CEO of the Sportklinik Hellersen.

 

What are the KU Awards? Since 2015, the trade magazine KU Gesundheitsmanagement has presented awards for the most innovative projects and most successful campaigns in healthcare and hospital marketing. Awards are presented in five categories: Clinic Marketing, Patient Communication, Employer Marketing, Online Marketing and Clinic Magazine. Already in the past year the sport hospital Hellersen with its magazine Hellersen Insight occupied the 2. place in the category hospital magazine.
