Endoscopic and minimally invasive spinal surgery

The experts at the German Spine and Scoliosis Center at the Hellersen Sports Clinic have many years of expertise in performing high-precision, tissue-sparing procedures on the entire spine. Endoscopic and minimally invasive surgical methods in particular have established themselves as effective and gentle procedures when conservative treatments are no longer sufficient.

In endoscopic procedures, a fine camera is inserted into the surgical area via a small incision in the skin. This allows the structures inside the spine to be visualized in high resolution and treated in a targeted manner. Minimally invasive techniques use tiny access points and special instruments to protect surrounding tissue and preserve the natural function of the spine.

These procedures are used for a variety of conditions, including herniated discs, spinal canal narrowing, segmental instabilities and vertebral fractures. For patients, this means less pain after the operation, a lower risk of complications and a quicker return to everyday life.

Which technique is used depends on the individual diagnosis, the symptoms and the anatomical conditions. Our experienced specialists carefully select the appropriate procedure and develop a customized treatment concept that is tailored to the patient's personal needs.

Focal points of treatment

  • Endoscopic decompression and nucleotomy for herniated discs and spinal canal stenosis of the lumbar spine
  • Dynamic stabilization and motion-preserving techniques for segmental instabilities
  • Intervertebral disc prosthesis on the lumbar and cervical spine
  • Endoscopic and microscopically assisted decompression of the cervical spine for narrowing and herniated discs
  • Endoscopic fusion techniques for spondylolisthesis and degenerative scoliosis
  • Minimally invasive ventral stabilization for degenerative scoliosis, tumours, infections or fractures
  • Kyphoplasty and percutaneous stabilization for osteoporotic or traumatic fractures
  • SI joint screw fixation for insufficiency fractures of the sacrum
